Editing Time

Now the drum is done, it's "editing" time.
For the non-musicians, the ones who don't know who it usually works in studios : after having played our the instruments, the musicians check with the ingeneers every hit, every sound, on each tom, on each cymbal, on the computers that recorded the stuff. And sometimes of course, they touch them to make them sound better, with the faaaaaaaaaamous software "Pro-Tools".

It's amazing how some studio producers, and even some musicians, use this magical software till the music doesn't sound anymore like a human playing ! When you listen to some of the "MTV stuff", some brutal indus or death-metal bands, or some kind of crappy bands who play like shit, you can hear the using of Pro-Tools... on the drums, on the guitars, and on vocals of course.

When you listen to most of the bands recorded by Ross Robinson, it's not what you hear. And now we understand why.

Ross wants to hear humans. Listen again to your "Life Is Peachy" from KORN... Listen again to the vocals from the last THE CURE, from GLASSJAW, or from the massive "Roots" of SEPULTURA... Listen to the drums of TEAM SLEEP... Listen to the guitars of AT-THE-DRIVE-IN...

The war versus Humans and Robots, as said NORMA JEAN
